I’m not excited that it was Rand Paul that got detained because I like him and his father. What I do find entertaining and amusing is that those that create legislation every day that makes normal Americans miserable have finally affected one of the legislators.
By the way, Rand Paul is not above the regulations and rules when it comes to flying, though legislators are above the laws that govern the rest of the United States when it comes to other regulations like insider trading and under the table transactions that make them wealthy. Fortunately for us, Senator Rand Paul is not one of those legislators that do that sort of thing.
Every day travelers have to subject themselves to the scanning and groping by some potential perverts in the name of safety because of a few that would do us harm. I have watched the frisk jobs pulled off by TSA officials and they do not resemble any frisk job by police that I have ever seen. If everyone else is subjected to it than legislators should also be the victims of the legislation they create.
The fact that it was Rand Paul makes no difference to me and maybe now some realistic changes will take place so the rest of us do not have to be felt up on a regular basis.
I’m sure that Rand Paul and his father have been against this personnel violation of rights in the name of safety from the beginning, but now the fire will be rekindled in lieu of the detention of this Senator. Keep up the good work TSA, you will be out of business soon or be doing business totally different soon. In the meantime Rand, take a bus.
