Political rhetoric and political correct is just noise. Every time one opens their mouth the left and right jump at the chance to demand retractions and separation. Everyone is entitled to express themselves and nowadays it is really hard to do so without someone taking offence. Candidates running for office have much better things to do than running damage control because someone says something others might find offensive.
It is quite hard to believe that we are all so thin-skinned or that what people say or think changes our lives at all. “The media loves” controversy and will beat a dead horse to death. What Ted Nugent, Hilary Rosen, Bill Maher or anyone else say’s has nothing to do with candidates on the left or right and everyone is entitled to an opinion and entitled to express those opinions.

The issues facing the country today are far more important than what people say or think and those issues should be forefront and not the noise that someone says that might not be political correct. “Politically correct” and “comfort food” are the two most ridiculous comments used and I wish both would die an honorable death and never said again. Politically correct depends on one’s point of view and belief and what the hell is comfort food. I’m comfortable eating most anything that tastes good.
I’m all for our candidates saying what they believe rather than what is correct. That way we really know where they stand and what they really think. The choice is much easier for the voter if we know what is in the hearts of those wanting to represent us.
I don’t know about anyone else but I like to know where people stand and what they truly think rather than getting surprised or disappointed down the road. I also believe that what others say or think does not change my life at all unless they make laws and policy.
Tell us what you think. Should people be censored or should we know just how they feel and think.
