These remarkable little gems can be served on top of burgers or served as Hors d’oeuvre’s. Their taste is remarkable and quite addictive and you cannot make enough of these for a party or get together. Prepare 5 times as many as you will think you will need.
INGREDIENTS
- Jalapeno Peppers (2-3 ” long)
- Bacon
- Cream Cheese

PREPARATION
CAUTION – When handling peppers use plastic gloves or your hands will hurt for days.
Slice peppers in half length wise. With a spoon remove the seeds and white pulp inside. Leave a few seeds or a little pulp inside if you prefer them a little more spicy.

Slice the bacon as pictured below into 4 quarters.

Set up a bit of an assembly line as pictured below and start stuffing the peppers with the room temperature cream cheese.

Stuff the peppers with cream cheese as pictured below.

Wrap bacon slices around each pepper and slide a tooth pick through pepper to hold bacon in place.

Place them on a pan with a rack (so bacon grease can escape) and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

If the bacon is not crispy enough after 25 minutes turn on broiler for a couple of minutes but watch them closely so they do not burn. Leave oven door cracked so you can watch them.

Can be served hot or at room temperature. You have to try these joyous little devils. You will not be disappointed nor will your guests and friends you serve them to.

Arizona Time
Well, ok! Looks delicious.
I wonder how that would be with habaneros. It’d definitely be hotter. But I prefer the fruity taste of the habanero over the grassy taste of the green jalapeno. Ahhhh but wait a second: RED JALAPENOS!
