Matt Kuchar wins the Players Championship by 2 strokes and gets his 4th PGA tour victory. He had a bogey on the first hole of the day and went on to play mistake free golf the rest of the day to get his first tour victory since winning the Barclays in 2010.

His win today propelled him into first place in the Fed-Ex Cup Standings. Kuchar held a two-stroke lead entering the 16th hole, the first in a trio of “make or break” holes at the TPC Sawgrass. He birdied 16 to extend his lead to three strokes, but three-putted the 17th island hole to maintain some semblance of pressure and drama entering the final hole.

Tournament leader Kevin Na struggled on Sunday and shot a 76 on Sunday. He finished the day at -8, tied at 7th place. Laird made the strongest run until a bogey on the 18th for a 67 and a four-way tie for second. Rickie Fowler missed an 8-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole and shot 70. Ben Curtis and Zach Johnson each had 68.
