In episode six of Food Network Star the ten remaining hopefuls are challenged by Geoffrey Zakarian to feed 150 hungry shoppers in a food court setting that requires them to cook in a kiosk and incorporate a surprise mystery ingredient into their dishes. Judson Allen was eliminated last week which leaves Giada’s team with four hopefuls and the other teams with three each.

The teams are as follows;

TEAM BOBBY

1. Michelle Ragussis - Brooklyn, N.Y.
2. Nikki Martin - West Hollywood, Calif.
3. Malcolm Mitchell - Washington, D.C.

TEAM ALTON

1. Martie Duncan – Birmingham, Ala.
2. Emily Ellyn – Ohio / Orlando, Fla.
3. Justin Warner - Brooklyn, N.Y.

TEAM GIADA

1. Yvan Lemoine – New York
2. Linkie Marais – North Attleborough, Mass.
3. Martita Jara – San Diego, Calif.
4. Phillip “Ippy” Aiona – Hawaii.

CHALLENGE

The Producers tell their teams that they must cook food for 150 people at a food court at the South Street Seaport. Team Giada will prepare Mexican food, Team Bobby will do American deli and Team Alton will do Italian food.

The teams brainstorm a menu and name for their food court kiosk. They go shopping for food and return to the kitchen to prepare their food for the next day. While in the middle of preparing their dishes the team leaders and Geoffrey Zakarian show up with a covered serving tray. Geoffrey Zakarian tells them that they must incorporate a mystery ingredient in their food and one member from each team must use that ingredient. He lifts the cover to reveal chicken livers.

Justin for team Alton elects to use the chicken livers. Michele for team Bobby uses the liver and Yvan volunteer to use it for team Giada.

The next day they show up at the food court to do last minute cooking and preparation. The 150 shoppers arrive along with the team leaders and Bob and Susie. They visit each kiosk to have the teams introduce their food with short presentations. Bob and Susie are accompanied to each kiosk by the team leader and taste their dishes with them.

Team Bobby does a pretty good job except for Nikki who has no point of view till asked. They like her food though. Team Giada does pretty good also but Linky’s dessert and her presentation is not very good. Team Alton knock it out of the park with presentation and food.

That evening the teams appear before Susie and Bob and they declare team Alton the winner and safe from elimination. They tell Linky and Nikki that they will appear tomorrow for the Producers Challenge and possible elimination.

PRODUCERS CHALLENGE
Prepare chicken into an extraordinary dish and do a 1 minute camera presentation on the dish.

THE PITCH ROOM

Bob and Susie taste each dish and watch the camera presentation done by Linky and Nikki. After careful deliberation they eliminate Linkie Marais and tell Nikki Martin she is safe another week.
