Sony has managed to screw up the second edition of White Knight as they did with the first installment. Sony made the game for Japanese players with no regard for the rest of its worlds customers. Failure to release DLC to the rest of the world that was released in Japan in both games have gamers bailing prematurely on the game with nothing to look forward to.
Japan’s gamers did not like 1 or 2 yet Sony catered to them and hung everyone else out to dry in both games. Along with not releasing DLC they really screwed up the weapons classes by burying them in mind numbing errands that put you to sleep after completing just three of them, let alone 150 of them. You cannot master any weapons class without completion of the most tedious and mind numbing errands. Who ever thought that one up should have a house fall on them.
The other thing that is terribly frustrating with the game though there are many is the Guild Rank system where you basically cannot get armor or weapons for two ranks and have to grind to get through them instead of playing the game as quests are released per your rank. Sure makes for a lot of boredom and frustration.
If you have not purchased the game yet do not bother. Sony could care less about getting all the DLC to you, but they welcome your bucks for store purchases to enhance your Georama or for drop tickets and colors. They have certainly screwed Europe, the U.S. and Mexico gamers and did not even kiss us behind the ear while doing so.
Most quests take a number of players to accomplish and finding anyone online at this point to quest with unless you’re in a good guild is hit and miss. The game is also loaded with modders that have contaminated quest files in open rooms that can affect your save files and corrupt them. Take care who you quest with.
At the end of the day White Knight Chronicles was a great concept with lame support by the developers for the end-user.
